We are pleased to offer you an internship position in IT Law at My Granny (“the Organization”), a social innovation and community development organization dedicated to strengthening intergenerational relationships in Estonia and reducing loneliness among older adults through a community-based digital platform. The internship is designed to provide practical experience in IT law within a mission-driven digital platform context. You will support the Organization in ensuring legal compliance and ethical governance of its digital services that connect seniors, young people, and families.

Show initiative in researching relevant legal frameworks and best practices

Communicate clearly and professionally with the team
Participate in meetings when required and provide updates on tasks
Collaborate respectfully with non-legal team members (developers, coordinators, community managers)

Develop basic understanding of how digital platforms operate (user data flows, consent mechanisms, moderation systems)
Support legal thinking in the context of real-world product and community needs

During the internship, you may be involved in:
Assisting with GDPR compliance and data protection documentation
Supporting legal analysis of digital platform operations and user data flows
Drafting and reviewing basic legal texts (privacy policies, terms of use, consent forms)
Researching EU and Estonian IT law relevant to social platforms and online communities
Supporting risk assessment related to online safety and intergenerational interaction
Contributing to internal guidelines for safe digital communication
Assisting in legal aspects of partnerships with municipalities, schools, and NGOs
Participating in meetings related to platform governance and compliance
