The General Data Protection Regulation\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/ET\/TXT\/HTML\/?uri=CELEX:32016R0679&amp;from=ET\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(EL) 2016\/679<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This data protection policy offers valuable information on how and why personal data is processed by the Traineeship Hub platform. The General Data Protection Regulation\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/futulab.ut.ee\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Tartu Traineeship Hub<\/a>\u00a0(hereinafter &#8220;Traineeship Hub&#8221;) website\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/praktika.ut.ee\/en\/\">https:\/\/praktika.ut.ee\/en<\/a>. Traineeship Hub is a voluntary internship mediator platform. The personal data uploaded by users onto the platform will be published on Traineeship Hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon submitting a project-based internship proposal or joining a project in Traineeship Hub, users give consent to their data being processed in accordance with this data protection policy. The data protection policy does not include guidelines governing the processing of legal persons or the processing of personal data by other persons. Additionally, the policy does not cover personal data processing on unknown websites that are referred to on the praktika.ut.ee websites via external hyperlinks.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"fade-down-block\" data-aos=\"fade-down\" >\n\t\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. TERMINOLOGY<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Processing personal data includes all activities conducted with the personal data of the website user, i.e. data collection, retention, correction or deletion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A user is a natural or legal person (e.g. student, employer, teaching staff member) who visits the website and uses Traineeship Hub services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Services include all services offered by Traineeship Hub, including adding internship offers, submitting project-based internship proposals, joining projects, downloading project application templates, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Traineeship Hub\u00b4s contractual partner Google Analytics\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/policies.google.com\/technologies\/partner-sites\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">is a third party who processes personal data<\/a>\u00a0and the service of whom (website visitation statistics) are used by Traineeship Hub to offer users services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"fade-down-block\" data-aos=\"fade-down\" >\n\t\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to provide users services, Traineeship Hub processes the following uploaded personal data via its website upon:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>joining a project team: username and email address, data about curriculum and institute, character strengths;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>adding an internship offer: username and email address, phone number, organisation name;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>submitting project applications: username and email address, organisation name;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>analysing visitation statistics using non-personalised Google Analytics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, Traineeship Hub uses third party services to analyse website visitation statistics. Traineeship Hub and the personal data published on Traineeship Hub are hidden to search engines.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"fade-down-block\" data-aos=\"fade-down\" >\n\t\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. LINKS DIRECTING TO OTHER WEBSITES AND ATTACHED CONTENT<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some pages, e.g. the home page include references to other websites or contain attached content, e.g. information about the internship process that can also be browsed on the sisu.ut website. Upon consuming attached content, users technically visit another website that is governed by policy applicable on this site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These sites may replace cookies, collect user data and forward them to third parties.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"fade-down-block\" data-aos=\"fade-down\" >\n\t\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. PERSONAL DATA RETENTION AND SECURITY<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Internship offers are viewed on the website until the offers\u00b4 deadline. Submitted projects are sorted by the newest first and upon completion, personal data are deleted, and projects archived. In archived projects, the name and objective of the project as well as its activities and results will remain public.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"fade-down-block\" data-aos=\"fade-down\" >\n\t\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. USER RIGHTS<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At any point in time, the user has the right to demand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the correction, amendment or deletion of personal data;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>limited processing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to exercise this right, the user must send a request of the aforementioned kind to praktika@ut.ee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the user believes their rights have been violated upon processing personal data, they have the right to turn to the Data Protection Inspectorate.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"fade-down-block\" data-aos=\"fade-down\" >\n\t\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. COOKIES<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to ensure a better user experience, the Traineeship Hub website uses two types of cookies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>persistent cookies will remain stored in a cookies file in users\u00b4 computers. For example, they might be used to recognise users as frequent visitors of a website, to customise the content of the website based on the users\u00b4 needs or to gather quantitative data;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>session cookies that are temporary and disappear when users exit the website or close their browser. Session cookies might be used to allow all the website\u00b4s functionalities to be viewed, e.g. to apply for a service or product, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cookies are used to gather data on how the website is used in order to make it more personal and convenient for users. Additionally, cookies help collect visitation statistics that enable measuring and amending the functionality of the website and serve as core data for efficient marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Users are considered to have consented to cookies if their browser settings allow cookies. Browser settings often allow the retention of cookie files on users\u00b4 computers by default. Users can refuse cookies in their devices or delete them by changing their browsers\u00b4 settings. If cookies are not allowed, the website might not run properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Google Analytics can gather data about visitor activity without using cookie files.
